Is there an expiration date or use-by date for CLEAN+CARE® products?
Our jewelry cleaning formulas are recommended to be used within 12 months of opening the jar. Similar to products such as sunscreens or eye creams, our products lose efficacy over time. There may be some change to the color or smell, but the product will not damage jewelry, only lose efficacy over time.
Where can I buy CLEAN+CARE®?
CLEAN+CARE® can be purchased online through our website and through local businesses. Check our Store Locator to find the closest business to you.
Can you guarantee that your jewelry cleaners are safe for cleaning jewelry?
Each of our formulas is safe for the types of jewelry identified on the jar, bottle or instruction card. The Fine Jewelry Cleaner is safe on fine gold and platinum jewelry as well as harder gemstones, such as diamonds. Our Gentle Jewelry Cleaner, Jewelry Cleaning Stick and Foaming Jewelry Cleaner have been widely tested and are safe for a variety of jewelry including delicate and porous gemstones such as pearls, treated gemstones, enamel and fashion jewelry.
Are the jewelry cleaners non-toxic?
Our jewelry cleaning formulations are generally non-toxic. Our Safety Data Sheets offer detailed information for each product. If you have a safety concern, such as contact with eyes, skin or the product being consumed, you can call our office at 800.848.3582 or dial 911.
How long should I soak my jewelry?
Please reference the directions on the product for the specified recommended time to leave your jewelry in the formula.
CLEANING QUESTIONS
Which products are safe for pearls and other soft stones?
Non-stranded Pearls can be cleaned with the Gentle Jewelry Cleaner, Foaming Jewelry Cleaner, Jewelry Cleaning Stick, and Jewelry + Watch Cleansing Wipes. For stranded Pearls, clean with a non-soaking jewelry cleaner.
Can I use dish soap or other household cleaners to clean my jewelry?
We highly recommend using a professional jewelry cleaner designed to specifically clean your favorite pieces. Using dish soap or other household cleaners can leave residue and film on your jewelry causing dullness + discoloration, or could risk damage to jewelry.
How often should I clean my jewelry?
We recommend cleaning your jewelry every day with both a jewelry cleaner and polishing cloth.
Can I use the Silver Jewelry Cleaner if the jewelry has gemstones?
The Silver Jewelry Cleaner is to be used with jewelry containing no gemstones. Soak silver jewelry with gemstones in the Silver Jewelry Cleaner could run the risk of damage to gemstones. To see our recommendation for your jewelry piece, please take our quiz to find the perfect product for you.

What happens if my jewelry is damaged?
If your jewelry has loose prongs or settings, cracked gemstones, metal plating is wearing off, or other damage, do not clean your jewelry with CLEAN+CARE® products. Take your jewelry directly to a professional jeweler for an inspection, repair and professional cleaning. Glister, Inc. assumes no liability for damage incurred during the use of our products. Users assume any and all risk when using CLEAN+CARE® products. Please consult a jewelry professional before using CLEAN+CARE® products to clean your jewelry. Use only as directed.
SHIPPING, RETURNS + PAYMENTS
How long does it take for my order to ship?
Orders ship directly from our production center in Columbus, Ohio and can typically take 3-7 business days from the day it ships until it arrives at its final destination. You will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number when your order ships.
Can you ship to Canada/Internationally?
At this time, Clean + Care does not ship outside of the United States.
How can I pay?
All major credit cards are accepted as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not take PayPal or Amazon Pay.
What if I have a problem with my order?
Please contact us at customerservice@cleanandcarecleaner.com within 5 business days of receiving your order to correct it.
What is your refund policy?
If a product purchased is defective, please contact CLEAN+CARE® Online Customer Service via email at info@cleanandcarecleaner.com, within 14 days of receipt. In order to process its request, provide a detailed description of the defect and a proof of purchase. IMPORTANT: At the moment, CLEAN+CARE® does not accept any returns. If deemed appropriate at CLEAN+CARE®'s own discretion, an online credit in the amount of the total purchase will be issued for defective products. Please note: This section only applies to products purchased on the E-Store. Products purchased on the E-Store cannot be returned to a CLEAN+CARE® distributor.
Can I add a product to my order after I have already checked out?
Once an order is placed, an item cannot be added or removed.
How do I return CLEAN+CARE® products that I purchased through another retailer?
Please contact the store or online retailer where you purchased the products for their return policy.
