General Questions

We warrant our liquid jewelry cleaners for one year from the date the product ships to you. If you are unsure of when your order shipped, your order number is marked on every carton label, and we can look up your order and tell you the ship date.

As with most consumer products, from sunscreens to eye creams, our products lose efficacy over time. There may be some change to the color or smell, but the product will not become damaging to jewelry, only slightly less effective as time passes. While our warranty period is for one year, we know many of our customers order product that lasts them well more than one year and do so without experiencing issues. That said, our recommended best practice is to order no more than a 12-month inventory of product.

Clean + Care is only available by ordering online through www.cleanandcarecleaner.com. If you are a consumer looking to purchase Clean + Care for your at-home jewelry care needs, please check your local jewelry stores to see if they carry the Clean + Care product line.

In the 60+ years we have been in business, we have never had a report from a consumer of jewelry being damaged when using our products as directed.

Each of our formulas is safe for the types of jewelry identified on the jar, bottle or instruction card. Our Fine and Natural Jewelry Cleaners are safe on fine gold and platinum jewelry as well as harder gemstones, such as diamonds. Our Gentle Jewelry Cleaner, Sparkle + Shine Stick and Foaming Jewelry Cleaner have been widely tested and are safe for all types of jewelry from delicate and porous gemstones such as pearls to treated gemstones, enamel and fashion jewelry.

Our jewelry cleaning formulations are generally non-toxic. Our Safety Data Sheets offer detailed information for each product and are available here.

You can purchase Clean + Care online only within the United States of America and Canada (with exception of Quebec).

SHIPPING, RETURNS + PAYMENT

Orders will be processed within 1-3 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation with a tracking number when your order ships.

We ship out of Columbus, Ohio, a central location to a large majority of the United States. Most orders will arrive two business days after the order ships. 

All orders ship directly from our production facility in Columbus, Ohio to your store front. At this time, we only ship FedEx Ground®.

Being in Ohio positions most major cities to be within a two-day shipping frame without the need for expedited shipping.

Our shipping costs factor in multiple things. 

1. We are mainly shipping liquids – which are heavier by nature, resulting in higher costs than shipping flatter or less dense items

2. We ship in a way that is extremely safe for the products. We do this to ensure + keep our standard of minimal breakage/quality incidents across all shipments and to deliver the product in the highly quality possible.

3. Although our warehouse is a central location of around a 2-day ship window, distance from our warehouse in Columbus, Ohio is factored into final shipping costs.

If the shipping expense is a concern, you may want to look at purchasing lighter items like one of our Polishing Cloths or a lighter cleaner like the Sparkle + Shine® Sticks (a case weights ~1 lb.).

We do currently ship to Canada, excluding Quebec. At this time, Clean + Care does not ship internationally. Our private-label brand DOES ship internationally and could be a solution. To learn more, click here

We are definitely experts at packaging liquids for safe shipment worldwide. We have determined specific packaging requirements for each of products, and all of our boxes and packaging configurations have been tested and passed with FedEx, our shipper.

Despite these precautions, periodically there will be damage in a shipment. If that occurs, simply contact us at info@cleanandcarecleaner.com and we will resolve the problem. When you ship with us using our FedEx account, your shipment is full-service. If there is damage, we will replace your product first and handle the issue with FedEx on our end. This is one of the services we provide when you place an order with us. 

All major credit cards are accepted as well as Shop Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay. We do not take PayPal or Amazon Pay.

Please contact us at info@cleanandcarecleaner.com within 5 business days of receiving your order to correct it.

If your order is delivered damaged, please contact us within 5 days of receiving your order for refund/return options.  

In most cases, we will simply replace the product for free and ship to you for free. At this time, we do not offer a standard option to request a return or refund for 'just because' reasons.

TAX-EXEMPT

To be tax-exempt, you must have an account set up and validated by a Clean + Care® employee. To request a tax-exempt account set up link, please click here and fill out the form. If you are qualified, you will be emailed in 2-3 business days with an activation link.

If you already created an account, we can easily update your tax-exempt status. Please click here to fill out the form.

Until you have submitted a tax-exemption form and been approved, you will be charged tax on orders. Once you are approved, all orders going forward will be tax-exempt.
